U-M Program For Positive Aging

The Program for Positive Aging had a huge week in London! Drs Kales and Leggett attended the Lancet Expert Panel on Dementia Care as Senior and Junior Faculty respectively on Monday and Tuesday. Meanwhile, Drs. Blazek and Etters as well as Senior Project manager Barbara Stanislawski went out with clinicians from London on home visits, to clinics and to care homes to see how care is delivered for older adults in the UK. On Tuesday night, Dr Kales was a panelist for Lancet's "Mental Health Question Time" on the role of technology in dementia care which was held in front of a live audience and also broadcast online. On Wednesday, the entire group held a DICE Approach training for a group of British caregivers and researchers at King's College London. And across town on the same day, Dr. Leggett gave a lecture on her research on caregiver styles from her K award to a research group at UCL.
